why should we celebrate valentines day

Today in Maldives and many other muslim countries indulge in many alien cultural practices, they dont no what they are celebrating. On feburuary 14th most of our loving brothers and sisters celebrate this day what they called "Valentine's Day". Flower shops, gift shops are full because of this evil practise

Consider Valentine's Day, a day after dying out a well deserved death in most Europe - but surviving in Britain and the USA has suddenly emerge on a tiny coral inslands in Maldives.

Valentine's Day began as a pagan ritual started by Romans in the 4th century BCE to honour Lupercus, the ‘god of fertility and flocks’. Its main attraction was a lottery held to distribute young women to young men for ‘entertainment and pleasure’ - until the next year’s lottery.

So my dear brothers and sisters please be wise and listen what our muslim scholars said. "A Muslim is a Muslim for life. During joys and sorrows, during celebrations and sufferings, we must follow the one straight path - not many divergent paths."
